In the recent years, approximately 60 countries have made use of alternative energy sources for heating and cooling, electricity, fuel, and conservation. More than half of this energy was used in architectural scenarios. The remaining percentage was used to support farms, urban and industrial applications.
Water resources can be used as a geothermal source through the use of looped fields buried beneath a lake or a “radiator” style system placed directly in the water at the lake bottom. Hydroelectric can be produced through gravity flow via conveyance pipes or pumping systems typically used for irrigation and snow making. Solar and wind are commonly used to power aeration systems which improve water quality and reduce stratification.
Wet | Land is interested in working with individuals and communities on projects that utilize water for energy and environmentally friendly impacts on our built environment.
